  The self ordering system can take a bit of getting used to. It also asks for a tip at the start, before you even know how the food or service is. My drink order did not give me an option to remove the ice and it was more than half full of ice.
  The staff did offer to take the order if I had issues ordering.
  The food happened to be very nice. Lots of flavour. And a great size. Very filling. The staff were polite and friendly.
  The atmosphere is good too. For a couple or a group.
  I recommend giving this place a go.

  Good price for lunch special and portions. Service was quite poor/slow, hollered at the waitress for a long time, each one kept telling us “one sec” but never came back. Food tasted mediocre.

  Good setup. Quite private up the back. Disabled access from the side. Meal though was definitely hit & miss. Had the ribs which were really good. Tasty & perfectly cooked. Also had a '3 option platter' which included: 4 duck spring rolls...which were not very good at all (we both got a fishy flavour from them?!), the meat & cheese platter which was very good...LOVED the brioche toast pieces, & the garlic pizza bread which had very little garlic, but was quite nice.
  The one factor that shines was the service. It was great! Staff checked on us regularly & were really polite & helpful. Staff:

  Dinner on our first night in surfers we stumbled on The Avenue and what a find. Started with a jog of mojitos that hit the spot followed it up with dinner. I had an amazing salad - one of the highlight meals of the weekend. To find out they had a drag show on and we didn’t have tickets was disappointing but we will be back. Great place for everyone service was good and so was the food.

  We love The Avenue! The staff are always friendly and the food is great. One of the things we love the most is that there’s such a wide range of people there, so everyone fits in and is welcomed.
  
  Definitely a fun night out, no matter when you choose to go
